Concord, NC – May 20, 2010 -  Chris Eggleston originally signed to run three races in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series this season for SS Green Light Racing. Chris nearly cracked the top-ten in his first start and has earned the opportunity for another race in the SS Green Light Racing No. 21.

The 2009 ASA Late Models North Division champion will make his fourth career start in the NCWTS Friday night in the North Carolina Education Lottery 200 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Once again mentoring the twenty-one year old from Colorado will be veteran Butch Miller. “I’m so excited that we could work it out to have Chris back in the 21 truck this week. He got a really raw deal at Kansas and never got to show what he is capable of on a big track,” Miller said. “I have nothing but enjoyed our brief time together and I truly believe he has the talent to succeed in this series.”

“Chris is one of the smartest little drivers that I have ever worked with,” Miller added. “I’m very pleased to get another chance to work with him, especially here at Charlotte.”

Eggleston has been to the Charlotte Motor Speedway in the past on many occasions, sort of... “I raced a Legend car on the little front stretch quarter-mile for two years in the Summer Shootout Series,” joked Eggleston. “Seriously, I’m just thankful for everyone involved to give me the opportunity to compete in the heart of NASCAR country at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.”

Friday will be Chris second start on a mile-and a half speedway, “It’s a real big weekend with the recent opening of the NASCAR Hall of Fame in downtown Charlotte, the All-Star race and everything that is going on. To be able to race on that stage in front of all the teams and their families is very important to me.”

“We had a good truck at Kansas, we just got taken out by another truck. If we can get the truck anywhere as good at Charlotte, we’ll be just fine. I can’t wait to get back behind the wheel!”

“I’m real happy that we we’re able to get Chris back in our No.21 truck this week,” SS Green Light Racing General Manager Bobby Dotter said. “He and Butch have a great chemistry together and I think Chris has a very bright future ahead of him.”

Pro Motor Engines will supply the horsepower for Chris on Friday night and ASI Limited will be on the hood of the No. 21. Forty-two trucks are on the pre-entry list for the North Carolina Education Lottery 200.

Chris’ 2010 schedule could be expanded if additional sponsorship can be secured. “I have to thank everybody for making this happen,” Eggleston said. “Especially my parents who have been so supportive over my entire career, racing is a true family sport for us.”

The North Carolina Education Lottery 200 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway is a one-day show for the NCWTS on May 21st. There will be two morning practice sessions with qualifying at 3:30pm. The race will be shown live on SPEED TV at 8:00pm and will also be broadcast live on MRN Radio and Sirius Satellite radio.
