Chris, Napa Filters, and Bill McAnally Racing teamed up for this past weekend's K&N race in Colorado. The team as well as Chris had high hopes for this race, but was skeptical of an actual shot at winning the race. However, sitting top of the speed charts at the conclusion of the first practice session, and 4th in the final practice session, Chris and the team starting to develop confidence in their night.
Chris was able to qualify 3rd, just behind his Napa Auto Parts teammate, Brandon McReynolds in 2nd.
At the start of the race, Chris fell to 4th, however started to rebound quickly. After passing the points leader, Greg Pursley for 3rd on the outside, Chris set his sight for 2nd and eventually the lead. After taking the lead around the lap 40 mark, Chris set sail and conserved just enough tire to fight off the charging field in the late stages of the race. With several late race cautions, including one with 10 laps to go, Chris had to battle hard to bring the Napa Filters/H2O Fire Toyota to Victory Lane.
