Chris and the team decided to kick off their 2014 season early by heading down to Tucson Arizona for the Chilly Willy 100! There were teams from California, Nevada, Washington, Colorado, and Arizona there to take on the compound banking 3/8th mile.
Chris and the team started the weekend off right by grabbing the pole in qualifying gaping the the field by a little over three tenths of a second. This locked them into the Dash for cash later in the day where they lined up eight. After making a three wide pass half way through the 20 lap dash, Chris went on to collect an extra $500 for the dash win.
By winning the dash, this put Chris on the pole for the Chilly Willy 100! After grabbing the lead on lap one, Chris never looked back and quickly jumped to a sizable lead. However, with just two laps to go, Chris and the team were in tire conservation mode trying to keep a 6 car length lead over 2nd place the 99, when Chris let what was thought to be a lap car go by, as there was a scoring malfunction and the 11 car was not on the scoreboard, Chris and the team were tallied second at the conclusion of the race.
